These cream shiney Ikea cupboard doors would go with the overall theme, though I wouldn't choose that worktop. They would also be easy to wipe down as they haven't got any crevices...and let's face it they will not be getting wiped down all that much unless mam comes round!! They would also be accented with baby blue and cherry red in the form of accesories, tiles, splashbacks etc...

DINING ROOM
(This will be the main living area and will lead on to the garden through bi-folding doors. It will be open plan with the kitchen. The breakfast bar will serve as a divide. While the kitchen is based on American 50's diner style, the dining room will have a 1950's home interior feel. It will have a sofa as well as a dining table and a 50's style side board. I would also like a Welsh Dresser (painted baby blue, cream or maybe even cherry red?) to help merge from the kitchen to the dining room. This would have either 50's plates displayed on the shelves and cups on cup hooks, or maybe old fashioned sweet shop glass jars filled with different pasta/lentils/chickpeas/cous cous/rice etc.)
